It's been a long time since I blogged, but everyone keeps telling me how important it is, so I am once again going to try and find the time.
I have company - my niece Jena, her husband Charlie and two sons, little Charlie who is 5 and Jamie, 3. They are here from Franklin, Virginia where Jena is managing editor of Tidewater News newspaper and Charlie writes for them.
Wow! What a wake up call to have two such young boys running around the house, and chasing the cat, who has now taken up hissing at young children. Prince considers himself to be King of the house and is now showing his ire for us mere humans.
At least with family here, I am cooking. I forgot how good a house smells when a pot roast or spaghetti sauce cooks in the crock pot all day. Wish I could bottle the smell, but then I'd probably need feeding every few minutes instead of every hour.
